From the Back Cover --

Born into communist Romania to devout Christian parents, Peter Dugulescu’s life mirrored that of his nation. After rejecting God for the rewards of secular life, he found himself empty and dissatisfied. A sincere pastor moved his heart, and he became one of the hated “Repenters” who practiced their faith despite government opposition. Called to minister to the beleaguered Christians of Romania, he rapidly became a thorn in the side of dictator Nicolae Ceausescu who ordered his extermination. Despite numerous assassination attempts, he miraculously survived to help bring down the communist system, armed only with faith, prayer and forgiveness. The Christian revolution ignited a political one, and the emblem of communism was torn from the Romanian flag, leaving a hole that only divine healing could fill. The work of rebuilding that nation under God, and the healing of the many lives injured through those decades, continues for “Peter the Repenter.”
