From
the Back Cover --
A is for Angel is a beautiful and
heartwarming way to approach the alphabet. Ms. Townsend has a true gift
as a photographer, and each of her canine models shows a distinct
personality. A is for Angel now has a permanent spot on my coffee table
next to her first book, Black is Beautiful: A Celebration of Dark Dogs.
-- Jennifer A. Carle, author of Finally Winsome, A Face of Prozac, and
Becoming Waldo
Pam Townsend’s new book, A is for Angel: A Dog Lover’s Guide to the
Alphabet, is a wonderful tribute to dogs—especially shelter dogs—and the
families who love them. The photography is gorgeous, and the stories of
the dogs in their homes heartwarming. Children will love this book, and
it is great reading for all ages.
-- Carol Wheeler, co-founder of Hearts United for Animals (hua.org)
Heartfelt stories, adorable pooches, and a dog-loving way to teach your
little ones the alphabet.
