Several moments to remember in our area during this time included the last trolley run for the Hagerstown and Frederick (H&F) Railway, a suburban trolley
system that began service in 1896, and the establishment of Fort Detrick as the world’s leading research campus for biological agents requiring specialty containment. At The Frederick News-Post, we added a second rotary press to our line of existing equipment and third-generation family members to our roster of employees.
