Sample Poem --
Please enjoy this
sample poem from the preface:
FALL
It doesn’t feel like Fall
but the leaves on the ground know it
before we do.
The trees are still green.
My wardrobe is still light and
colorful.
But all these brown leaves
on the ground ---
When did they drift down?
I’m turning sixty next month
so why do I feel like a kid
holding the door open for
old people? Is it really Fall?
