Mike Scott has been an AMTA
member since 1985. Since that time, he has worked with many human and
equine athletes – professional as well as amateur. In 1986, he started
developing his skill and awareness of Equine Massage/Muscle Therapy. He
has enjoyed a successful practice along the East Coast ever since. His
experience spans over two decades working with human and equine clients.
Some of his highlights include working 3 World Championship Meets, 2
Olympic Trials, 7 Boston Marathons and numerous shows and events. Mike
is perhaps best recognized for his commitment in sharing his knowledge
and referrals with others in the equine industry as well as with his
clients and students. This helps the horse in a “team” effort. Through
his teaching, Mike stresses the importance of taking the time needed
with each horse, and the necessity of treating each one as an individual
working within their means. When he is not busy traveling for clinics,
he resides in Camden, South Carolina.
Mike Scott in my opinion a master Massage Therapist. His work reflects
many years of intense study of human and equine anatomy, physiology and
movement evaluation.
He is to be commended for his dedication to continuing education and his
steadfastness to the strict entry requirements into his Equine
Massage/Muscle Therapy Certification Program.
Mike has produced impressive results in my own horses and those of my
students along the entire East Coast.
He is a great asset to any trainer’s program, regardless of the
discipline. His manner around the
horses is evident, as they all love him.
